Manolis Papathomas is the head chef and owner of the restaurant, and in true Greek fashion, six members of his family – his parents and his sisters – all work in the kitchen. Papathomas’ food philosophy is simple: fantastic, fresh and authentic, and what can be more authentic than your meal being prepared by an entire family? Papathomas’ knowledge of traditional Greek cooking has been passed down through the generations of his family, to provide an exciting culinary experience that has customers coming back time and again.
The growth and success of the business has seen Papathomas take on a second chef, Cretan-born Christos Makrinakis, who brings a deeper level of Mediterranean influence to the food. The menu is a celebration of the simple, fresh, beloved flavours of Greece. Using the best Top End produce, Manoli’s provides an authentic mezethes-style dining experience (small shared plates) in an old, established Greek custom. Dishes are cooked to order and served immediately, allowing the restaurant’s diners to enjoy a selection of the freshest flavours.
