There are plenty of things to see and do in Darwin, but none of them offer quite the same experience that you will have on a Spirit of Darwin sunset cruise. Boarding commences at 5pm at Dock 2 at Stokes Hill Wharf and guests are greeted with a welcome drink before departure. The boat departs around 5.20pm and everyone settles in to enjoy live commentary and take in the sights of Darwin Harbour and surrounds on their two-and-a-half-hour sunset cruise.
As the bright blue sky softens to pastel tones, guests enjoy canapés or a buffet dinner, made from fresh local produce and can quench their thirst from the fully licensed cash bar on board.
The cruise offers guests a unique experience of the harbour as the boat drifts past mangroves and the city skyline magically appears as twilight descends. Guests will enjoy the famous evening show as the brilliant orange sun sinks low in the sky, bathing everything in warm golden light. Being on the harbour of course means there are fish to be fed and this is an experience not to be missed! The friendly crew will assist you to feed and interact with Darwin’s famous batfish as they lap at the surface of the water, in full view. The lucky few may see other local fish too such as queenfish, trevally, barramundi and shark, before returning to the wharf around 8pm.
As well as the Darwin Harbour Sunset Cruise, the Spirit of Darwin is available for private functions, corporate events and venue hire. From weddings to birthday parties, Christmas functions to school discos, a specialised package can be arranged to suit your needs and the friendly staff and crew will be happy to assist you to make your event memorable and stress free.
