True international business travel has arrived at Darwin International Airport with the opening of the Wirraway Business Centre. This purpose built fully accessible space offers a range of business spaces and services to suit the needs of a full range of professional travellers – from digital nomads to remote area health staff, high profile sporting officials to corporate high flyers and more.
Easily reached from the main airport terminal via a private entry, Wirraway has a selection of meeting rooms, training facilities, conference and event spaces as well as hot desks and day offices for the traveller on the go. Along with a 75-seat theatre style function room and a 25-seat conference room, Wirraway has two meeting rooms and five hot desks. In addition, essentials such as bathroom and kitchen facilities and a staffed reception area are available. Its modern design, state-of-the-art technology and equipment and contemporary approach more than cater to the needs of the everyday working traveller.
Opened in early 2017, the Wirraway Business Centre is the first of its kind in an Australian airport, a fact that was recognised in its opening year with an Airport Innovation and Excellence Award.
Along with meeting a host of business needs, the Wirraway Business Centre has capacity to host functions and events. Wirraway is fully licensed and customised catering is available, though a range of packages for small and large groups for any occasion.
The Wirraway Business Centre is also conveniently located next to the Catalina Lounge, Darwin International Airport’s premium guest travel lounge, offering seamless transit for passengers from the lounge to their meetings to their onward journey.
Wirraway is open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5pm, with after-hours bookings available on request. Bookings can be made online or by phone and enquiries are welcome.
